Naples will host a new quantum computing hub linking a 128-qubit system with Classiq’s algorithm design platform, with services slated to start by the end of 2026.
TEA TEK will run user allocation and compute-resource blocks so the site can operate as a regional Quantum as a Service provider for academic, public and industrial users.
The setup mirrors the Quantum Computing Napoli Lab at the University of Naples Federico II, led by Professor Francesco Tafuri, while scaling operating capacity to 128 qubits.
Classiq said the model will redistribute active compute hours to industrial operators, aiming to create a local supply chain for commercial quantum applications in sectors including finance, pharmaceuticals and manufacturing.
Backed by CDP Venture Capital and the European Innovation Council, the partnership is positioned as part of Europe’s push for sovereign, secure technology infrastructure and lower-cost enterprise access.
