Counterpoint forecasts average foldable smartphone prices will jump 18% in 2026 to $1,485, with Apple’s first foldable iPhone expected to reshape the market.
Book-style foldables are driving that increase as brands add larger displays, bigger batteries, improved hinges and cameras, positioning the devices more for productivity than for entry-level buyers.
The $1,600-to-$2,000 segment is projected to nearly double its market share to 58% from 30%, while models priced above $2,000 edge down to 2% from 3%.
