iOS 27 beta 3 adds a simpler AirPods setting that lets users switch Adaptive mode between default, lighter and stronger noise filtering directly from the main Listening Mode screen.
The change replaces a deeper path through Settings > Bluetooth > AirPods, where Adaptive Audio intensity previously sat behind a separate slider-style control.
Adaptive mode blends Active Noise Cancellation and Transparency to adjust ambient sound based on surroundings, and the new interface keeps the same limited adjustment concept rather than offering a fully draggable scale.
Beta 3 also includes other iOS 27 refinements, but this AirPods tweak arrived mid-beta and could still change or be dropped before Apple’s public release.
