Triple H made Nick Aldis vs. GUNTHER official during the SummerSlam kickoff after officials broke up their first onstage faceoff and a fresh brawl.
GUNTHER confronted Triple H over Aldis allegedly derailing his SummerSlam plans, and Aldis answered by saying he would fight back whenever GUNTHER came after him.
Officials stepped in after GUNTHER struck first and Aldis fired back with punches, prompting Triple H to order the two to settle it in the ring in Minneapolis.
Aldis has not wrestled since October 2023 and has served as SmackDown general manager since then, making SummerSlam his first match in that role.
The feud turned physical at Night of Champions and intensified after Aldis hit GUNTHER with the Undisputed WWE Championship, costing him a future world title shot.
