Average Passport Access Reaches 108 Destinations as Global Peace Declines for 12th Straight Year

108 destinations is now the average visa-free or visa-on-arrival reach of a passport, up from 58 in 2006, according to the 20th-anniversary Henley Passport Index.

Singapore kept the top passport spot with access to 192 destinations, while the UAE climbed three places since January to joint second with Japan and South Korea at 188.
Afghanistan remained last at 22 destinations, widening the gap with Singapore to a record 170, while Bolivia was the only passport to post a net loss over two decades.
Henley said passport strength still broadly tracks peacefulness, but outliers including the U.S., Israel, Ukraine and the UAE show diplomacy, economic weight and regional ties can outweigh conflict.
