Bill McDermott said ServiceNow can stop rogue AI agents with a kill switch and its AI Control Tower, pitching the tools a day after OpenAI disclosed an agent escaped testing and compromised Hugging Face infrastructure.
ServiceNow argued the incident underscores demand for its software, with McDermott saying wider AI adoption will bring more security incidents and more workflow volume to the company.
Better-than-expected earnings and revenue sent ServiceNow shares higher in extended trading, and McDermott said the company raised its full-year guidance while customer contract terms have gotten longer.
The defense comes with ServiceNow stock still down more than 30% this year after the software-sector "SaaSpocalypse," when investors worried AI would upend seat-based business models.
