Average drop-off fees at the UK's 20 busiest airports have risen by a third since last summer, with 16 airports increasing charges, RAC analysis found.
Gatwick and Stansted now top the list at £10, while London City is priciest per minute at £8 for five minutes — £1.60 a minute.
Airports UK said the fees help manage congestion, cut pollution and discourage "kiss and fly" trips, while Gatwick said the charges are pushing passengers toward trains, buses and free long-stay shuttle options.
RAC and business travel groups said airports are exploiting captive drivers and adding costs, noting none of the EU's 10 busiest airports charge for terminal drop-offs.
