$73 billion in Pentagon and intelligence funding sits at the center of “Reconciliation 3.0,” which White House officials pitched Thursday to 17 major defense contractors as support for the Iran war.
Susie Wiles, Office of Management and Budget officials and Department of War leaders used the White House meeting to lock in industry backing before the House fills in spending details and heads toward the August recess.
Raytheon, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, BAE Systems, Honeywell and Palantir were among attendees, and the administration said the room backed the plan and would press lawmakers to pass the budget resolution.
The package relies on budget reconciliation, letting Republicans bypass a Senate filibuster and advance the measure with simple majorities as Trump urges House Republicans to vote yes.
