Summary
Sixty-six percent of voters disapprove of Trump’s handling of Iran in a Fox News poll conducted July 17–20, while just 34% approve — his worst rating yet on the issue.
Fifty-six percent oppose U.S. military action against Iran, including 40% who strongly oppose, and 64% think the conflict would last at least a year — up 13 points since May.
About half of voters expect no U.S.-Iran agreement, while the rest split between a good deal at 27% and a bad one at 25%; opponents of the war are far more likely to expect a long conflict.
Trump’s broader standing stayed underwater at 39% approve and 61% disapprove, with support falling sharply among non-MAGA Republicans to 51% from 64% last month and 70% at the start of his second term.
The survey also found Republicans’ edge on immigration has vanished, with voters split 50%-49% on which party handles it better, even though immigration remains Trump’s strongest issue at 42% approval.
