Johnny Depp Debuts 'Ebenezer' Trailer at Comic-Con Ahead of November 13 Release

Hall H got an unannounced 'Ebenezer' reveal when Johnny Depp, in full Scrooge character, crashed Collider’s Directors on Directing panel and presented the first trailer.
The footage pitched a darkly comic, gothic take on Charles Dickens’ Scrooge from director Ti West, with Depp mumbling in character and telling the crowd, “Have you no lives? No responsibilities?”
November 13 is the release date for the holiday film, adapted by Nathaniel Halpern and starring Ian McKellen, Rupert Grint, Sam Claflin and Daisy Ridley alongside Depp.
The Comic-Con stunt followed Depp’s earlier Gaslamp district appearance as Scrooge, extending a promotional push for what previous reports described as his first studio film in eight years.
