There is no indication yet that Hayley Williams’ Newport Folk Festival collaborations will receive an official release. What is public so far points only to a one-off live event. Reports from Billboard, NME and festival coverage describe the set as a standout performance packed with live debuts, covers and guest appearances, but none mention a planned live album, EP, streaming release or official concert film. Newport Folk Festival itself has only shared photos and fan-shot clips have circulated online, which usually suggests no immediate commercial rollout has been announced. A release would also be complicated by the nature of the set. It included songs by multiple artists and several covers, including Bleachers’ “I Wanna Get Better,” Rilo Kiley’s “Silver Lining,” Bill Withers’ “Lean On Me,” and guest material such as Remi Wolf’s new “Twiggy Little Butt.” Any official issue would require approvals and rights clearances from numerous performers, publishers and labels. That said, some songs could still surface later in other forms. Remi Wolf’s debut of “Twiggy Little Butt” is the most likely candidate to be formally released through her own project, and Williams could revisit songs like “Roses/Lotus/Violet/Iris” or “Good Ol’ Days” on tour recordings or future session releases. Newport Folk Festival’s Fort Stage hosted a “Hayley Williams & Friends” set on July 24, with Williams joined by Jack Antonoff, Lucy Dacus, Remi Wolf, Karly Hartzman and Kelsey Lu.
Remi Wolf used the appearance to debut “Twiggy Little Butt,” performing it with Williams after earlier guest turns including Hartzman on “Mirtazapine” and Dacus and Lu on “Roses/Lotus/Violet/Iris.”
Jack Antonoff arrived near the end for an acoustic “I Wanna Get Better” and Williams’ 2025 song “Good Ol’ Days,” before Williams closed with a group cover of Bill Withers’ “Lean On Me.”
