A Labour Inspectorate case began after the workers complained in September 2023; the company had already repaid the $120,000, and each worker will receive $1,000 from the company penalty.
Singh and the company were also ordered to pay more than $7,000 in costs, as labour officials said charging migrants for jobs is a serious breach of employment standards.
