The event’s centerpiece is the Kunlun architecture—platform, super range extension and safety system—built since early 2023 for large-space SUVs with a flat floor, long seat rails and rotating front seats.
Xiaomi has said the series offers up to 76 kWh batteries, 505 km CLTC electric range and 5.7 liters per 100 km fuel use when the battery is depleted; the N90 Max is a 7-seat flagship, while the N70 Max is a 5-seat AWD model.
To limit reliability risks, Xiaomi logged 4.28 million km of testing with 566 vehicles over 626 days before entering China’s crowded range-extender SUV segment dominated by Li Auto and Huawei-backed Aito.
The Sky Nomad line is central to Xiaomi’s 2026 growth plan: after delivering 185,055 vehicles in the first half, it still needs roughly 60,000 a month to hit its 550,000-unit annual target.
