Gaza Food Prices Fall 2% in June as 2,808 Trucks Enter by Mid-July

Gaza’s food CPI fell 2% in June from May, while the broader CPI dropped 1.9%, extending price declines into the first half of July.
2,808 trucks had entered Gaza so far in July after 4,707 in June and 5,104 in May, improving supply; larger fruit and vegetable flows and heat-driven spoilage also pushed fresh produce prices lower.
25-kg wheat flour bags held at 35-50 NIS across Gaza, but cooking gas remained scarce at the official 74 NIS per 8 kg, with black-market prices far higher and fewer than 10% of households able to access it.
77% of households still reported difficulty reaching markets in July, up from 67% in May, and food intake remained well below pre-conflict levels, especially for meat, eggs, fruits and vegetables.
Prices are still far above pre-crisis September 2023 levels despite recent easing, though they remain below levels seen before the October 2025 ceasefire and before the Iran crisis spike.
