The multi-year pact is Peacock’s largest wholesale distribution deal yet, aimed at widening audience reach while folding live sports, films and series into the YouTube viewing experience.
Later this summer, YouTube will also offer Peacock Premium as a standalone add-on through Primetime Channels; Peacock Premium Plus has been available there since late June.
The agreement also extends NBCUniversal’s carriage on YouTube TV, expands Universal+ and Hayu in select international markets, and deepens ad-tech ties including through FreeWheel.
Beyond distribution, NBC Sports will produce select live events for YouTube, and the deal broadens YouTube, YouTube TV and YouTube Premium offerings across Comcast’s Xfinity and Xumo platforms.
