Choi Jae-in said Samsung’s upcoming smart glasses will be priced at a “reasonable level” but launched in the premium tier because of the technology and quality standards involved.
No price range was disclosed after last week’s Unpacked event, leaving Samsung’s positioning vague even as the company tries to balance affordability with higher-end hardware.
The comments likely refer to glasses Samsung is developing with Qualcomm, Google, Warby Parker and Gentle Monster, rather than the still-unconfirmed Galaxy Glasses expected later in 2026.
Samsung also hinted at AR-display-equipped glasses in the pipeline for 2027, suggesting a broader two-track wearable strategy as Meta already charges $299 for its cheapest smart glasses.
