Washington Closes Roads for Lindsey Graham Funeral as Trump Set to Speak at 2 p.m. Service

The public can follow Sen. Lindsey Graham’s final tributes by livestream, even though the Washington events are closed in person. The Capitol arrival ceremony and Rotunda program on Tuesday will be streamed starting around 10 a.m. ET. Coverage is expected to be available through USA TODAY’s YouTube livestream, and officials have said the public will be able to watch the Capitol ceremonies online. The funeral service at Washington National Cathedral, scheduled for 2 p.m. ET, will also be livestreamed. Viewers can watch through the cathedral’s YouTube channel, the cathedral’s service page, or C-SPAN’s livestream. President Donald Trump is expected to deliver a tribute during that service. There will also be a virtual option for the South Carolina observances on Wednesday. The public procession at the State House begins around 10:45 a.m. ET, followed by the funeral service at First Baptist Church of Columbia at noon, and officials have said that service will be livestreamed as well. In short, while road closures and invitation-only services limit physical access in Washington, the public can still witness the major ceremonies online through the Capitol-related livestream coverage, Washington National Cathedral’s digital platforms, C-SPAN, and media livestreams such as USA TODAY.
