Summary
Hours before speaking at Lindsey Graham’s funeral, Donald Trump said the late senator “liked war” and was “very much into that” in remarks to Fox News.
A viral documentary clip helped drive the moment: filmed by Alex Holder after February’s U.S. strikes on Iran, Graham laughed, said “Look what we’ve done here,” and claimed Trump “loves blowing stuff up.”
Trump also said Graham had shifted in recent weeks, arguing it was better to make a deal with Iran than “destroying the rest of the country.”
The comments land as Trump appears more open to winding down the conflict, with support among his base weakening and the war’s costs rising.
