Goldman Sachs Custody Solutions is the first live custodian on Orion’s new Dynamic New Account Opening tool, letting Orion advisors open accounts inside the Orion Advisor Portal instead of switching systems.
The workflow adapts by account type, household structure and custodian, centralizes data entry, and supports DocuSign or fully digital completion through direct custodian APIs; Orion said AI-assisted hackathons with Goldman helped remove friction.
The GSCS integration is available now for Orion Advisor Technology clients using Goldman custody, with Orion Portfolio Solutions access due later this summer and more custodians planned later this year.
RFG Advisory, which oversees more than $8 billion and supports 100-plus advisors, separately said Feathery’s platform more than doubled form-generation speed for repapering transitions, highlighting the same industry push to cut manual onboarding delays.
That pressure is acute for breakaway advisors: Cerulli said two-thirds of employee advisors considering independence in 2024 saw potential client loss during transitions as a major concern.
