160 homes closed in Ascension Parish in June and 205 new listings hit the market, both up more than 15% from a year earlier as the summer buying season strengthened.
That June pickup extended first-half momentum: closed sales rose 6.3% to 743, pending sales gained 6.7% to 817, and new listings increased 7.2% to 1,084.
Median price climbed 3.1% in June to $334,939, sellers received 98.8% of list price, and days on market held at 66.
Inventory also improved, with 491 homes for sale and a 4.1-month supply, though homes below $400,000 still face tight supply and strong demand.
Ascension still posted the highest median price among the Baton Rouge region's three largest markets, above East Baton Rouge's $287,500 and Livingston's $250,000, as U.S. existing-home sales also rose 3.2%.
