Three evening markets branded “Farm Fresh at Sunset” will run in Arnold from 4:30-7:30 p.m. on Aug. 19, Sept. 16 and Oct. 21, with the city planning to reevaluate after the trial.
15 years into the market’s run, Arnold said it is adding weekday hours because some shoppers cannot attend Saturdays and vendor and customer feedback on the idea has been positive.
80 vendors are expected at each evening market, matching typical Saturday turnout, and vendors will pay $10 per evening event versus $25 for a Saturday space or $300 for the full season.
40 added vendor spaces, a new pavilion, permanent restrooms and a parking lot that opened July 11 with about 120 spaces reflect the city’s broader push to grow the market, which runs Saturdays through Oct. 31.
