Hilaria Baldwin said on SiriusXM’s Page Six Radio that dating Alec Baldwin at 27 may have looked like “gold digger vibes,” but said she repeatedly refused gifts because she wanted to know the relationship was genuine.
The 42-year-old also revisited the viral “when I’m talking, you’re not talking” moment, calling it an inside joke at home and saying frustration over Alec Baldwin’s frequent interruptions was edited into a harsher clip.
Baldwin framed the backlash as gendered, saying she expected more support for asserting herself while speaking rather than being cast as “mean” to her older, more famous husband.
She also disclosed a 20-year eating disorder spanning anorexia, bulimia, overeating and undereating, saying she worked to heal before having children and now talks to her seven kids about food and body image without shame.
The interview widened into other public-image disputes, with Baldwin saying she posts “thirst traps” casually and that she was “bullied” off Dancing With the Stars last year.
