NBC News and Noticias Telemundo will exclusively carry Pope Leo XIV’s Concert for Peace live from near Rome at 1 p.m. ET on July 29 across NBC, Telemundo and their streaming news channels.
The event at Borgo Laudato Si’ in Castel Gandolfo will feature Andrea Bocelli, an interfaith choir of 200 children from conflict-affected regions, and remarks from the pope.
Tom Llamas and Julio Vaqueiro will anchor special coverage from Rome, with excerpts from their separate encounters with Pope Leo XIV airing in special editions of NBC Nightly News and Noticias Telemundo later that evening.
The concert is framed as a celebration of peace and hope and marks the 800th anniversary of the death of St. Francis of Assisi.
