ZDNET Recommends Free BleachBit for Windows Cleanup and Secure File Shredding on 10 and 11

Summary
BleachBit gives Windows users more granular cleanup control than Storage Sense, letting them preview and remove caches, logs, temp files, browser data and other leftovers.
Windows 10 and 11 users can also use the open-source tool to shred files or folders so deleted data cannot be recovered, extending it beyond routine disk-space cleanup.
Preview is central because BleachBit does not offer an undo option; the report advises creating a System Restore point and checking each file list before cleaning.
The utility also covers Windows components such as Explorer, Windows Defender and System entries, and adds options like deep scans, free-space wiping and expert mode for advanced cleanup.
