September 18 is the release date for NASCAR 26, with pre-orders now live and a first gameplay trailer highlighting Dynamic Track tech, cross-platform multiplayer and a revised driving model.
Automated pit stops have become the main flashpoint because the game adds deeper simulation elements—AI DNFs, left-side-only tire changes, evolving track grip and a 750-horsepower package—while still taking control during a key race procedure.
Gold Edition costs $79.99 and includes three days of early access from September 15; the game launches on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam.
That mix leaves NASCAR 26 positioned closer to simulation than recent entries, but still short of the full-control standard many fans associate with NASCAR Racing 2003 Season and iRacing's own reputation.
