A 25 July preview of Game of Thrones: The Mad King was scrapped about four hours before the 19:15 curtain, leaving the Royal Shakespeare Company without a public preview yet.
The RSC said unforeseen delays in the "ambitious and epic" production forced the cancellation so cast, creative and technical teams could keep refining the show in real time.
A 20 July preview had already been postponed by several days, and the company said ticket holders for the affected previews will receive full refunds including fees.
