ELSTAT put Greece’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate at 8% in June, down from 9.2% a year earlier and marking the lowest June reading since 2012.
4,389,230 people were employed in June, up 53,413 from a year earlier and 16,465 from May, extending the labor market’s recent gains into the start of summer.
381,769 people were unemployed, 58,363 fewer than in June 2025, although the monthly total rose by 12,345 from May.
The data reinforce a multiyear easing in Greek labor-market stress, with falling joblessness increasingly supported by steady employment growth.
