2 Masked Men Harass Rex Heuermann Family Home a Month After 8-Murder Sentencing

Two masked men were caught on home video banging on Rex Heuermann’s Massapequa Park house around 8 p.m. Tuesday before fleeing as the family dog barked.
Asa Ellerup and her two children were inside, and the family’s lawyer said a police report was filed because Ellerup believed the incident was an attempted break-in.
Nassau police confirmed the disturbance but said it did not qualify as an attempted break-in because no one tried to enter the home.
The lawyer said Heuermann’s relatives face daily harassment, with people driving by, shouting comments, taking pictures and leaving or throwing items at the house.
The episode came just over a month after Heuermann received three consecutive life terms without parole plus four consecutive 25-years-to-life sentences for murdering eight women.
