Greenvolt Power has opened the 200MW/800MWh Turośń Kościelna battery storage plant in northeastern Poland, a four-hour LFP system connected at 110kV about 200km from Warsaw.
Entrix will optimize the site—its first BESS mandate in Poland—under a 2025 exclusive deal covering five Greenvolt projects totaling 1.3GW/5.2GWh, using AI-based trading across balancing, day-ahead and intraday markets.
The project was part of Greenvolt’s 1.2GW haul in Poland’s 2028 capacity market auction, with Turośń Kościelna holding a 17-year contract and a 170MW capacity obligation at the CPI-indexed clearing price of PLN 244.90 per kW.
BYD supplied 196 battery enclosures for Turośń Kościelna and another 200MW/800MWh Polish project, as Greenvolt prepares to start its 600MW/2,400MWh Siedlce scheme in Q3.
The launch comes as Poland’s storage boom faces tougher auction rules: BESS wins fell to 685MW in the December 2025 capacity auction after de-rating factors dropped to 13% from 95% two years earlier.
