Nintendo Cuts Virtual Boy Headset to A$19.95 as 2 New Classics Arrive Next Week

Q: With the headset promotion ending August 17, 2026, what secret unreleased titles will complete Nintendo's promised 16-game Virtual Boy lineup?

The remaining “secret” titles have not been confirmed by Nintendo, so there is no verified answer yet. What is known is that Nintendo said the Virtual Boy - Nintendo Classics service will ultimately include 16 games. With Zero Racers and D-Hopper arriving on August 4, the lineup moves closer to that target, but Nintendo has not publicly named the final unrevealed additions. Based on the currently discussed pool of officially released Virtual Boy software, the most plausible candidates are the major first-party and notable released games not yet broadly added in the West, including Virtual Boy Wario Land, Teleroboxer, Galactic Pinball, Mario Clash, Mario’s Tennis, Red Alarm, Golf, 3D Tetris, Virtual League Baseball, Nester’s Funky Bowling, Panic Bomber, Space Squash, Waterworld, SD Gundam Dimension War, Virtual Lab, Innsmouth no Yakata and region-specific releases such as Virtual Fishing. The strongest expectations center on Nintendo-published staples like Virtual Boy Wario Land, Teleroboxer and Galactic Pinball, because Nintendo is already using those games in marketing for its Virtual Boy headset accessories. That suggests they are likely planned, but it still does not identify the full remaining set. So, before the August 17, 2026 headset promotion ends, the honest answer is that the final unreleased titles completing the 16-game lineup remain undisclosed. Any specific names beyond Zero Racers and D-Hopper are informed speculation, not confirmed fact.

Two previously unreleased Virtual Boy games — Zero Racers and D-Hopper — join the Nintendo Classics service next week, driving the promotion around the accessory.
A screen-color change option will arrive in the same update, while the games can still be played on Switch or Switch 2 without the headset.
Switch Online + Expansion Pack remains required, and Nintendo also sells a separate accessory modeled on the original Virtual Boy hardware.
