Burlington Opens 12 Stores in August as 100-Plus Expansion Targets 2026

Twelve Burlington stores are scheduled to open in August, starting Aug. 6 in Mesquite, Texas, and Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, with sites also planned in California, Florida, Missouri, New York, Pennsylvania, Arizona and Puerto Rico.
The August rollout is part of 32 grand openings over the next two months—12 in August and 20 in September—as the off-price retailer pushes to open more than 100 stores by the end of 2026.
California leads the August slate with five openings from Aug. 13, while Burlington said the new locations will feature a redesigned format with wider aisles, clearer signage and a more organized layout.
The expansion follows 26 openings in May and comes as Burlington grows while many brick-and-mortar chains contract; company sales rose from $9.7 billion in 2023 to $11.5 billion in 2025.
