July 30 marks the global debut of Bushiroad’s Palworld Official Card Game after the company said more than 3.5 million packs were sold ahead of launch.
Dawn of Palpagos opens with over 50 Pals, two trial decks and support cards such as Pump Action Shotgun, tapping a franchise that has already reached 32 million players.
Secondary-market prices surged before release: booster boxes listed around $45 retailed for as much as $85, packs rose from about $10 to $30, and at least two Chillet cards sold above $1,000.
That demand arrives as Palworld remains on sale despite Nintendo and The Pokemon Company’s 2024 patent suit, which seeks about $66,000 and an injunction but has recently faced patent-office setbacks.
Bushiroad has already lined up a second expansion, Legends Awaken, for October and events through 2026, testing whether early hype can become a durable trading-card franchise.
