Summary
David Lawrence Crosby II, 44, pleaded not guilty after Brevard County deputies arrested him on two child abuse counts tied to an alleged July 26 assault aboard Carnival Glory.
Authorities say Crosby, who told officers he was heavily intoxicated, ran into children playing tag in a hallway, hit one in the face and another in the stomach, and the episode was captured on ship security video.
Carnival said its security team responded immediately, confined Crosby to his cabin for the rest of the voyage, referred him to law enforcement at Port Canaveral, charged a conduct-violation fee and banned him from sailing again.
Crosby posted $20,000 bond, was released Tuesday and is scheduled for arraignment on Aug. 25.
