Summary
Justin Hardy died Friday night at 61 after a heart attack, his family said, weeks before the planned premiere of Wrath of the Gods.
That film had just completed production as the final chapter of the Wicker Man trilogy, drawing on newly discovered scripts and storyboards by his father, 1973 original director Robin Hardy.
Hardy was also known for the 2024 documentary Children of the Wicker Man, made with his brother Dominic, and for historical documentaries and TV work for the BBC, Channel 4 and CNN.
A Bafta- and Emmy-nominated writer-director, Hardy was remembered by his family as creative and full of life; he is survived by his wife Larissa and their four children.
