More than 90% of Rasa's petitions are approved, though lawyers still review AI-generated filings; the company charges $25 for a consultation and a flat $500 per case, including court fees.
The push targets a large unmet market: more than 70 million U.S. adults have some kind of criminal record, and at least 20 million could partially or fully clear records under existing laws but have not done so.
Sudbury argues record clearance is an economic tool as much as a legal one, citing research that wages rise 22% within a year of expungement, even as expansion remains difficult because each state has separate laws, forms and data systems.
