58,500 payrolled workers were recorded in Dumfries and Galloway in June, 266 fewer than a year earlier, marking a 0.5% annual decline in employment.
44 jobs were lost from May to June, a 0.1% monthly dip that left the local labor market broadly flat in recent months.
17th out of 20 Scottish sub-regions, Dumfries and Galloway ranked near the bottom for employment growth as payroll numbers weakened.
