Summary
Tolabow, Loch Rascal now has updated Oracle text that functionally changes how the commander works in deckbuilding, after Wizards said the printed wording caused widespread confusion.
The new rule lets players choose 1 non-blue color and include instant and sorcery cards with blue and/or that chosen color in their color identity, while also allowing any basic lands.
Wizards said Game Design, Editing and Rules Management agreed the original text was hard to parse and produced an unintuitive result even when read correctly.
The change has already been added to the Oracle database, the Mystery Booster Commander Edition release notes and Tolabow's Gatherer rulings.
