TikTok Influencer Cesar Gastelum Killed at 25 During Sinaloa Livestream

Cesar Gastelum, a 25-year-old TikTok creator with more than 500,000 followers, was shot dead while livestreaming outside a restaurant in Culiacan, local police said.
Video circulating online showed a motorcycle carrying two people pull up beside Gastelum and two friends dressed as delivery workers before the driver allegedly shot him in the head.
The attack unfolded in a busy shopping plaza near the Sinaloa prosecutor's office; soldiers and police sealed the area as forensic teams collected evidence and removed the body.
Police initially reported the victim as a delivery worker before identifying Gastelum, and TikTok removed the livestream even as clips of the killing continued to spread online.
The killing adds to roughly a dozen influencer deaths reported in Sinaloa in recent years, in a state roiled by cartel infighting and persistent gang violence.
