$100 million from GE Pension Trust has been committed as seed capital to an asset-backed credit interval fund, marking the latest allocation by the pension investor into private credit.
The fund is tied to the AltsABF strategy backed by Janus Henderson, Victory Park Capital and Privacore Capital, which earlier said GE's additional commitment lifted seed capital to more than $350 million.
That vehicle is being distributed through Charles Schwab, Fidelity Investments and BNY Pershing, widening access to private asset-backed credit for RIAs and wealth-management clients.
The investment comes as public pension CIOs say delegation and AI are expanding their authority and could reduce consultants' influence over portfolio decisions.
