Summary
Richard Madden has been cast as the lead in “Trauma,” a new medical hostage thriller series set up at Paramount+ and co-produced with Prime Video.
In the series, Madden plays Jim Marchant, a former Royal Marines medic turned ER doctor battling through a London hospital after terrorists seize the building and take the prime minister hostage during surgery.
Prime Video will carry the show in the UK and Ireland, while Paramount+ will launch it in all other available territories under a co-production arrangement brokered by Lionsgate Television and 42.
Geoff Bussetil created and will write the series, Daniel Syrkin will direct, and Lionsgate-backed 42 is producing as the project adds another major TV role for the “Game of Thrones” and “Bodyguard” actor.
