iOS 27 lets iPhone and Apple Watch users create Apple Wallet passes from physical cards, membership cards and event tickets, extending Wallet beyond issuer-provided digital passes.
Apple says users can point the Camera app at a barcode-bearing card or a screenshot of a digital pass, then save it to Wallet; passes can also be created directly in the app.
Once imported, those passes are stored in Wallet and can be presented from an iPhone or Apple Watch as a barcode or QR code.
The change pushes Wallet closer to replacing a physical wallet for more everyday use cases where businesses and events still rely on paper or plastic passes.
