Twin Falls police on Friday published a roughly 10-minute timeline video tracing the Aug. 1 attack at the city’s new In-N-Out, saying it is meant to give the community a transparent account of what happened.
Police said the gunman first opened fire in the drive-thru and restaurant, then moved to Blue Lakes Boulevard, the visitors center and a walking trail; 10 people were shot and three were killed.
Investigators identified the dead as Dale Schultz, 66, Christopher Claunch, 59, and Ashley Garibay, 23, while saying 24-year-old Chad Williams is still believed to have acted alone and with no known motive.
Officials used the briefing to highlight people who intervened, including former officer Austin James, an off-duty Idaho State Police trooper and an employee on the trail whose confrontation gave others time to flee.
The investigation remains active with the FBI, Idaho State Police and the Twin Falls County Sheriff’s Office, and police said edited, blurred footage was released to protect privacy and limit graphic content.
