RBC Appoints Kamran Azim Asia Wealth Head and Singapore CEO Effective Nov. 1

Kamran Azim will take over on Nov. 1 as head of Wealth Management Asia and CEO of RBC’s Singapore branch, adding two senior regional roles at the Canadian bank.
Rod Ireland is stepping down after more than 25 years at RBC and will retire on Dec. 31, prompting the leadership transition.
Azim joined RBC in 2008 and previously served as head of private banking in Singapore and chief operating officer of Wealth Management Asia.
RBC said he has led strategic growth and operational changes across the region, where the bank says it is the only Canadian lender offering a full suite of wealth management services in Asia.
