Summary
Five Voronov family members were confirmed killed after a Russian missile struck their home in Radushne, a village on the outskirts of Kryvyi Rih, during a July 30 overnight attack.
More than 70 missiles and 280 drones hit the area that night, and authorities are still using forensic examinations to determine whether remains found at the site belong to five other missing relatives.
Danylo Voronov, a Ukrainian serviceman who was away with his wife, said he lost his parents, siblings and 18-month-old son in the strike.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy later posted the family’s photo on X and urged leaders in Washington and European capitals to help Ukraine protect civilians from continued Russian attacks.
About 200 mourners gathered on Aug. 4 at a memorial of flowers, drawings and toys, reflecting the family’s standing in the village as a large, devout and widely admired household.
