Summary
$250,000 in suspected stolen property was seized from an Oakland home that investigators say served as the hub of a regional fencing operation tied to a Bay Area teen burglary ring.
Wuillian Cordova-Cubias, 37, was charged with receiving stolen property, receiving two stolen motor vehicles, unlawful firearm activity and conspiracy after detectives said he bought tools from juveniles soon after break-ins.
Nearly 80 burglaries were linked to the crew — 37 in Concord and about 40 more across Contra Costa and Solano counties — after suspects allegedly raided vehicles for garage door openers, then entered attached garages.
Four juveniles were identified in late June and all are now in custody; July SWAT arrests and earlier recoveries also turned up three stolen firearms, including 14 guns taken in one garage burglary.
Cordova-Cubias remains jailed ahead of a Monday arraignment, while prosecutors have also filed juvenile complaints in a case authorities cast as part of a broader crackdown on organized theft.
