Police said the 14-year-old who killed eight people and himself in Nonthaburi likely planned the attack and appears to have learnt gun use through violent social media content rather than formal firearms training.
Seventeen witnesses have been questioned as investigators examine his phone, home computer, cartridge cases and a knife found in his school bag, alongside possible triggers including study anxiety, family problems and conflict with friends.
Authorities say the boy first used his grandfather's handgun to kill his grandparents at home, then went to Debsirin Nonthaburi School and shot teachers and students; forensic officers said several rounds struck vital spots accurately.
The death toll rose after a 12-year-old girl died of her injuries two days later, as mourners gathered at a Nonthaburi temple and laid flowers outside the school.
