NASA’s Dragonfly rotorcraft, set to launch no earlier than 2028 and arrive about six years later, is the key precursor mission; its findings on Titan’s surface, weather and chemistry would shape any future habitat and landing designs.
Researchers at the June 11-12 meeting said a crewed mission is not close, but argued the main scientific and technical gaps are now clear enough to sustain a long-term, multi-decade push.
