McCormick Praises Fetterman as 77% of Pennsylvania Republicans Back the Democrat

Dave McCormick said John Fetterman has grown “very popular” by breaking with Democrats, calling the Pennsylvania Democrat a “good partner” who resists party “craziness.”
A July Quinnipiac poll underpinned that praise: 48% of Pennsylvania voters approved of Fetterman, with Republicans backing him 77%-12% while Democrats disapproved 69%-19%.
McCormick cast Fetterman as an exception to a party he said is swinging left, pointing to Abdul El-Sayed’s narrow Michigan Senate primary win over establishment-backed Haley Stevens.
Fetterman has also separated himself on Israel, saying last month he had no plans to leave the party but would do so if Democrats formally became “the anti-Israel party.”
