Johnson Releases 34,000 Fauci Texts, Alleges HHS Sabotage of Pandemic Records

Ron Johnson said longtime HHS employees are obstructing his Senate probe after his panel released the first tranche from Anthony Fauci’s government phone, which contained more than 34,000 texts and 522 voicemails.
The initial messages included Fauci warning Rochelle Walensky that second-dose mRNA vaccine reactions could theoretically be linked to first-trimester miscarriage because fever and cytokine responses were common after the shot.
Johnson said he limited the release to material he viewed as directly tied to public safety and informed consent, while reviewing the remaining records carefully to avoid exposing private information from other people in the phone.
The Wisconsin Republican argued the texts are only the start and accused career HHS staff of hiding or slow-walking pandemic-era records, saying even HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. lacks full visibility into what the agency holds.
HHS did not immediately comment, and the dispute broadens a Republican effort by Johnson and Rand Paul to revisit Fauci’s pandemic decisions through records recovered from his old government iPhone.
