USC Study Finds 200,000-Person Protein Link as Mouse Diet Cuts Fat, Frailty

More than 200,000 people in the study's human analysis showed a parallel pattern: those eating the most animal protein had more obesity and about twice the diabetes rate of people eating little or none.
USC said the findings are not a diet prescription because mouse results may not translate to humans and the human data are observational; the next step is a controlled clinical trial.
